Share your outdoor learning activity for the WAV Festival
Vancouver-based community organizations, teachers, and educators who support outdoor learning are invited to share and “show off” current outdoor learning activities or approaches by submitting an event or lesson to the WAV Festival.
Events and lessons should meet the four WAV criteria: outdoor, educational, experiential, and free.
Who can submit an event or lesson?
- Vancouver-based community organizations
- Teachers and educators
- Groups or individuals offering outdoor learning experiences
Who Will Attend?
- Children and youth
- Families and caregivers
- Educators and community members
- Anyone interested in outdoor learning
Events vs. Lessons
Events
- Community-focused activities such as walks, festivals, or hands-on outdoor experiences.
Lessons
- Structured learning sessions designed to teach specific skills, topics, or curriculum-based content outdoors.
What WAV will do for you.
WAV supports your participation by promoting your event or lesson, including it in the WAV Festival schedule, and connecting you with a wider outdoor learning community.
Need help with funding your event?
- Groups and/or individuals wishing to offer an event in the WAV Festival may apply for funding to help with costs associated with their event. There is no guarantee that WAV will be able to find a sponsor, but we will try!
